a rainbow of cardstock

I wanted a basic card-making kit with coloured 4x6 greeting cards and envelopes, but there was nothing at the store.  So, I made my own.

I got a thirty-sheet pad of 12x12 scrapbook paper and cut two cards (8x6, folding in half to 4x6) from each page to make sixty cards in all; there are plenty of nice scraps left.  I also got a box of fifty envelopes.

a whole wheat flower

Yes, I know, it has nothing to do with calligraphy, but I wanted to post it anyway.  Happy Friday!

They also serve who only stand and wait.  (John Milton.)

Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart.  Wait, I say, on the Lord!  (Psalm 27.14.)

Friday flowers: sunshine!

I found these lovely flowers in my mailbox with encouraging notes.  Thank you, friends!

This week at work, I decorated a card for several classes to sign and give to Prof. D., whose battle with cancer is expected to end this month.

101 pens

What can I construct with one hundred and one inkless purple pens?

Today at work I tested a hundred and sixty-eight dollars' worth of pens, none of which wrote; and, as the department was going to throw them away, I took them for some unforeseen craft project.  Please comment if you have suggestions.  So far I've thought of stringing them together to make something like a beaded curtain or attaching them around the outside of tin cans to make interesting-looking pencil cups.
